Lots of Announcements

April 1, 2010
First off, the bases were delivered and are now on the field and have been tested.  They work really well and we are very happy with our purchase and all of the people who donated to help get them.  Second of all, we are working to buy new wiffle balls for the field and for the FIRST WIFFLE BALL TOURNAMENT HELD IN MAY.  Any questions about it ask myself, Michael Redmond.  We are also working on many new projects for the field.  A new, 7-inning scoreboard is a work in progress while a few other guys are working on building a press box in left center field for video taping and making highlight reels of games.  We are fixing and cleaning up the field by making the lips straighter and we have added some softer clay material on the base paths to make embarrassing falls not hurt so much (Travis)...let us know if you have any questions or comments.

Sunny Skies

Sunny Skies
Things are heatin' up and we are loving it!  The crappy weather is supposedly gone and Spring is making it's appearance.  We are hoping that, for the most part, the snow will be melting away off the field so we can start making improvements.  Also I would like to announce that one of the constructors, which happens to be myself Michael Redmond, has applied and been accepted for another duty for Mike Shipley Park.  I have had the privilege to own the title as the stadium's weatherman and meteorologist!  My job is to keep an eye on the weather and make sure to schedule tournaments on good weathered days.

New Bases

New Bases
That's right, Mike Shipley Park is getting new bases soon for better and more improved game play.  They are inground bases meaning you will not have to worry about slipping when you round the base hard anymore.  We almost have enough money for them but not quite yet so we need your help!  Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated.  We will let everyone know on the website when we have ordered the bases.

Improvements

February 22, 2010
Many improvements will be made to Mike Shipley Park this upcoming Spring.  The constructers of Mike Shipley Park will be getting to work along with other kind volunteers.  We plan to install legit inground bases for better gameplay, build bleachers for spectators to watch, and possibly get a 7-inning scoreboard.  Reconstruction of the bullpen behind left field will go into progress due to a crappy first attempt **cough** Travis **cough**.
